UK vaping compliance is more than a duty stamp.
The Vaping Products Duty (VPD) and Vaping Duty Stamps (VDS) Scheme are now in force, bringing new excise-control requirements to the UK vaping industry.
📅 Key dates:
• 1 October 2026: VPD and VDS came into effect.
• 1 January 2027: Only digital duty stamps may be affixed.
• 1 April 2027: All vaping products outside duty suspension in the UK must carry a valid duty stamp.
For affected businesses, compliance means connecting physical products with accurate digital records: stamp application and activation, scanning at defined points, product data capture and traceable movements.
From stamp application and camera verification to aggregation and reporting, these steps need to work together across your operations.
