HERMOS RFID Retrofit for Existing WIP Racks 📡
At a customer site in the semiconductor industry in North Rhine Westphalia, we upgraded an existing WIP rack in the cleanroom with our RFID solution.
As part of the customer installation, the existing rack was equipped with reader technology and the required system connection. This enables wafer carriers to be automatically identified and reliably assigned to their individual storage positions. The collected data is immediately available for further processing within the higher level system.
The installation demonstrates how flexibly our RFID technology can be integrated into existing infrastructures. The WIP rack was upgraded without the need to replace the entire system. Integration into ongoing processes can also be adapted to the specific technical requirements on site.
We were especially pleased with the customer’s positive feedback regarding the flexibility and easy integration of our solution.
