HERMOS LFM 4x Reader: Four Identification Points, One RFID Reader

HERMOS LFM 4x RFID-Lesegerät mit vier Antennenanschlüssen

A LOOK BEHIND THE TECHNOLOGY | LFM 4x Reader 📡

Four identification points. One RFID reader.

The HERMOS LFM 4x Reader was developed for applications where multiple RFID reading points need to be efficiently integrated—particularly when retrofitting existing semiconductor facilities.

Four antennas can be connected to a single reader. Each antenna is individually and automatically tuned to its respective environment, ensuring a stable and maximum read range even in metallic environments. The system also automatically detects antenna or cable breaks.

For automated operation, the interrogation mode can be individually configured for each antenna. Various I/O modules are available, while RS232 and Ethernet with ASCII and SECS/HSMS enable integration into existing plant architectures. Optional Power over Ethernet (PoE) can further reduce the need for power supplies and cabling.

Technical Highlights

• 4 independently tuned reading points
• Automatic detection of antenna and cable breaks
• Individual polling mode per antenna
• Ethernet, RS232, and optional PoE

One reader. Four antennas. Flexible integration.
