German Weather Service: The DWD’s main tasks include weather forecasting and hazard warnings: Storms, severe thunderstorms, heavy snowfall, regional heat and pollen counts. It also monitors and documents the climate in Germany and evaluates changes. The meteorological interaction between the atmosphere and other areas of the environment is recorded and the necessary measuring and observation systems are operated.
